School Reopening – Update

Dear Parent/Carer,

We are currently making plans to bring our learners back to school from Monday, June 29th as required by the Welsh Government. There are many things happening to make the school environment as safe as it can be in the current circumstances. The school will not be ‘up and running’ as normal, and many of the facilities in school will remain closed. All children who can be safely accommodated will be offered one day a week. Children of key workers will be offered a place each day their parent is in work, and those currently attending the hub for other reasons will continue to have a childcare offer in the hub. PLEASE NOTE: we know that some of our pupils have had shielding letters. These children SHOULD NOT return to school during the summer term. More information will hopefully be available in terms of a possible return in September for shielded pupils.
There are some things that haven’t yet been sorted. I am awaiting confirmation of transport for pupils: parents may need to bring and collect their children. I do not know yet if there will be a nurse on site each day: I am waiting for this information. I do not know if there will be a school meal provided: parents may need to send a packed lunch.
If you have other questions, please DoJo (pm) them to your child’s class teacher and I will endeavour to answer promptly.
We are missing your child and we know they are missing school. Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this horrible and uncertain time.
All good wishes,
Darya Brill-Williams
Headteacher
